Life has vital lessons every day,

And what matters is our attitude,

Am drained,

Life’s pressures are taking a toll on me,

I need a lie-down,

Exams are here,

Targets are here,

This pressure is too much,

Be still and know that he is God,

There is no need to worry,

God will take care of your need,

Difficulties may come in all directions,

So bad that you want to hide,

Your enemies don’t give you peace,

Your friends have left you,

And you have no idea why,

It takes all your strength to hold back a tear,

Just be still,

The Lord will take care of your need,

Joyfulness after Tussles

Life is full of Struggles,

From the day of birth,

Our struggles begin,

With no end,

Prompting us to give up on our dreams,

We wonder if we’ll make it through this journey of struggles,

Our emotions keep telling us to lose the grip,

But we hold on because this life is worth it,

And we must be still and have faith,

That we will see every joy inside our struggles,

We need the patience to wait for joy,

Because on the other side of a fight,

We find peace, joy and fulfillment so real.

SCHOOL

It’s time again for school,

Books are my only ally’s,

My friends are having fun,

As I try to figure out matrices,

And cram microeconomics,

My mind refuses to comprehend,

I am in beautiful place in my castle,

Where my mind only tours,

Pen on my hand,

I come back to realism,

My lunch time breaks are spent figuring out accounting,

Can’t blather with my colleagues

The weather is chilly, it’s June

I have to resist the temptation to sleep,

Just one more movie I fight the voices in my head,

Time has ran out,

DRUNKENNESS

He staggers his way to his car,

Ignoring persons begging him not to ride,

Slowly he turns on the ignition key and starts his car,

Shortly there is a huge boom,

His car is in a wreck,

He has suffered a fatal accident,

Such a young life,

Gone for just an extra beer,

When will this menace come to an end?

LAUGH AWAY THE HEARTACHE!!

Life is too short,

To spend mulling over spilt milk,

Look not at your past letdowns,

Where you came from matters not,

But where you are going,

Your past faults aided shape your now,

Don’t think for a moment you are a failure,

You have so much wealth placed in your heart,

Search deeply in your heart you will see what you have,

Enjoy where you are at this moment,

Life has been given to you in abundance,

Cry if you want to,

But dust off that dust once that tear falls,

I thought love was my foe until I met you,

When I became elusive,

You remained patient,
