Pain! Pain! why do you visit unwelcome dwellings?
Don’t you know it’s immoral to visit uninvited?
Why stopover when we already have made plans?
Why make us devote so much time tending to you,
Why make us spend our hard earned savings so you leave?
Don’t you know we were saving for rainy days?
Why do you at times become a full time guest?
The sole motive why we nurture you is that you leave,
At times you take our loved ones with you,
Even after really nurturing you,
Don’t you know it’s wrong to take without consent?
We pass in foreign substances into our system just for you,
Don’t you know foreign substances intensify the chances of cancer?
Worst still they could crash a system,
Pain why do you cause us so much misery?
