SHUT UP

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” EXODUS 14:14
Shut up!!!
Some words are best left unspoken,
And the best battle is won in silence,
Words spoken in anger
Echo throughout eternity,
Guard your relationships carefully,
Choose your words wisely,
The tongue is a great enemy,
Also a great remedy,
Choose the latter,
And Learn….
To shut up!!!!
Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit.

DEAR FRIDAY

My dear Friday,
How your rising excites me,
How I longed for you,
No more suits and shoes,
Just shorts and sandals,
Resting and sleeping,
Until Monday comes,
Where gloom resides,

THIS MAN JESUS

I envision your eyes,
Are they blue, gray, black or green?
Is your hair black, brown or blonde?
Are you white or black?
Tall or short,
These things I wonder about you….

The pierced palms on your hands,
How big are the scars?
Are they still visible?
The thirty nine strokes you received,
Did they leave scars too?
These things I wonder about you.

What thoughts do you have of me?
They always say you have good thoughts of me.
You hold me in highest regard,
I choose to believe that,
Because no one can let his child die for another,
Your love is unconditional.

I picture you walking by my side,
That is why I don’t fall,
I feel your hug when I am dreary,
I feel your love when am teary,
I feel your hand calming my storms,
I feel your presence in all I do,
Because on that dreadful day,
You saved me from death
Thank you father

CONFUSION MODE

So many thoughts,
Bubbling out of my head,
To the tip of my fingers,
Straight to my keyboard,
What do I write on?
Shoes or suits,
Love or hate,
Friends or foes,
Am on a confusion mode,
Air pollution is a good subject,
Perhaps prostitution,
Or our new constitution
Senryu or haiku is much better,
But Frieda my friend does it so well,
Rita the teacher on homophones and well the something in her house,
Jack the other name of amorousness as evening takes his hand,
I think I have a new idea to write on,
The ants that devour my plants…

BUMP BUMP

“Congratulations”…
The Doctor said,
A tiny life had been placed inside me,
God planned for you,
Uniquely molded you,
And placed you inside me,
Thoughts of you engulf my mind,
My mind goes on a trail,
When I envision you,
Your tiny face, your tiny hands,
I can’t wait to know you and meet you,
Hug your tiny self,
And show you to the world,
When I saw you playing inside me, I cried,
Tears of joy, a baby girl,
I am in awe of the wonders of God,
I love you my little princess,
As we await your arrival,
Keep growing and glowing me,
Because every pound I have gained,
Every uncomfortable feeling,
Is worth you
I love you my baby angel…

DIALING JESUS

No need of an appointment,
Zero disappointments when we call,
His lines are always open,
No secretary to answer his call,
No soldiers to check on us,
He keeps no diary,
Anytime any day
We can meet him,
Just dial His number,
He will pick your call.
You will be amazed,
How tactical he is in solving problems.

EMOTIONAL VESSELS

Tears are silent words
That need not be heard or scribed,
for they are not long or short,
clever or awkward;
they don’t stutter or mislead,
Pure and perfect vessels of emotion
slowly they rise and emerge
through blinking barriers
that no longer hold fast
they never lie, chastise or hurt
they simply speak in honest persuasion
with no pretense or intent.
Tears
Humans emotional healing objects.

STORM

When the ride gets bumpy,
Ride it with the Lord,
He will make it smooth.

ENJOY LIFE

He is always smiling,
The smile on his face so undeniable,
So infectious,
I wonder what makes him so full of life,
When he says hello he has so much vigor,
He looks like he has no cares, no worries,
I smile when I see him,
And he smiles back so kindly,
What makes him so jubilant?
He seems like he has it all,
But he  is in a wheelchair yet so full of life,
Life is so unfair “I think to myself”
His eyes lit up when he realizes am looking at him,
And ever so gently tells me,
“Life is what you make it” Mine is the best!!

MOUSE

There is a mouse in my house,
So I got cat to scare it away,
It has bred young mice
Which eat away my freshly baked bread
Leaving my young ones hungry,
Clumsy and angry all day long.

RYAN

My little baby cousin,
Your splendor outshines all,
Mirrored in your eyes,
Your innocence is so blameless,
Your tranquility is so inviting,
For everyone to cuddle you,
And kiss those little chubby cheeks,
Your smile is so contagious,
Toothless and endearing,
We all love your crowning glory,
The bald patches on your head,
The satin finish,
Of your baby-soft skin,
The smell of your baby clothes,
So cuddly,
Your squeals of delight,
When feeding,
The serenity when asleep,
The elation when we cuddle you,
You are one great blessing we have.

LOST PEN

I misplaced my pen,
It’s dancing its way out and about,
On other peoples sheets of paper,
Fingers too are misplaced,
On others peoples keyboards,
Dancing to their tunes,
I am completely tuneless,
Trying to locate back my fingers,
And find my misplaced pen,
So that I can get a new rhythm,
And a new beat to poetize.

PSALMS 23

My throat goes dry,
My eyes get teary,
I find myself worrying,
Wanting to run and hide,
But the Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not lack,
In difficulty,
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
And leads me besides still waters,
I want to run and hide,
In the midst of terror,
Your rod and staff,
They comfort me,
When enemies have turned against me,
When my friends have deserted me,
Your anoint my head with oil,
And my cup overflows
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me,
All the days of my life
