THIS IS WHAT MY HUBBY DOES
You put a glint of smiles in my eyes,
Every time you call,
Making my lips curve with a smile…
When a beep arrives with a text from you
In your voice,
I hear the melody of angels,
Especially when you tell me
“Take care love”
You are,
The good in my mornings,
The good in my nights,
Always lighting my path,
With all the love you give me.
Thank you
My beloved.
FASHIONING MY MIND
You cloth my mind
in lacy lingerie that fits
over well placed nouns
and stimulates adjectives
i long to hear.
Knotted in woolen scarves
of metaphoric mastery
our tongues dance,
To a tune,
We just hummed.
You undress my body
of inhibitions
accessorizing my nakedness
with stylish erotic innuendo
and sizzling seduction
with liquid rhythm
and linguistic form
you carry me
from touch to sensitivity
clothing my mind,
With your unending love.

MY JOURNEY BROUGHT ME TO YOU
Maps are folded and re-folded into pocket sized
destinations of our own heart’s desires
Routes become numbers and numbers become moments
as the planning cycle, with yellow highlighter in hand,
presents a “look forward to” scenario
I see over
the next sunrise a highway,
empty of detours and beckoning openly
to this heart, from another, on windswept invitations
penned in frilly fonts and colors of imagination,
reaching deeply inside and holding tightly
A glance back at what is left behind brings a smile,
for what waits ahead is now everything new
destiny is a destination of dreams, of hopes and
of love… . when that journey brings me to you

SEPTEMBER 21ST
Deep in the
soul,
lies the spirit of all those we loved.
taken from us by an
unkind heart,
a human like you and
I,
Pulled the trigger
on a fellow human,
From old to young,
None was spared.
Tears flow freely,
drowning amidst sorrow of yesterdays
where the grass
remained splendor
the smiles
so genuine,
the love so true,
peace reigned within
our borders.
Now clear
waters of recollection
After the
pain of September 28th,
Lost in thoughts,
Reminiscing our days
with loved ones,
The voice of the
radio presenter,
The laughter’s and
cries of the young ones….
Now gone…never to
grace us with their love one more time,
In this
whirling disarray of thoughts
We never
forget the fluttering of loss.
The dried tears on
our cheeks,
With scars so deep,
we don’t know how to pray.
Tightly we hug each
other,
Thanking God the
night mare is over.
Today is a better
day.
Justice will
prevail.
Poetize
Your poetic license has no expiration date
You have the ticket to write
make people cry or laugh
blow them away with romantic fantasy
or fly them to the moon
it doesn't have to be fancy or involved
as long as it's written with spirit
occasionally the spelling or grammar shows
the only escape route is imagination
which reverberates from a poet's heart

LISTEN
An inner
voice inside me,
Spoke to
me,
So
silently,
So soothingly,
Urging
me not to go on that road trip,
An even
louder voice took control,
Beckoning
me to go ahead,
Very
persistent so manipulative,
Nature
took the wheel,
And
spoke too,
Through the
rains,
Through
a friend,
To stop
my journey,
But I
was too adamant,
To stop,
Now am
on a road trip,
Stuck on
the road,
Wondering
why…..
I ignored
the captain of my ship.
My inner voice.
MEETING IN MY BRAIN
Letters
holding a meeting in my brain,
My
mouth is the route,
To
bring out the words,
Your
ears are the final judge,
You
will gauge out,
What
you want to hear.
