TRYING COUNTING YOUR BLESSINGS

Pen in my hand,

I stare blankly,

At my sheet of paper,

With thoughts bubbling out of my head,

I wonder what it is,

I should be thankful for,

Is it a husband, a job, life, good health, family,

Or the gift of writing,

I put you to the challenge,

Try counting your blessings,

I bet you will lose count,

Because your blessings,

Are always too much to number,

Be thankful you have too much within you.

WELCOMING 2014

The hands of time are moving fast,

And I can smell from a distance

The fresh breath of a brand new year,

That is bursting with good tidings,

From a far,

I can hear the joyous cheers of 2014,

I can envision people breaking into dance,

Receiving 2014 with joy,

Get into 2014

Devoid of 2013 regrets,

Accepting the gifts,

That 2014 brings along,

Let this be your year of blessings,

Good health, peace and joy at heart,

And by this time next year,

We will be joyful and ready for 2015,
